【Background】 Received the B. Eng, M. Eng and Dr Eng. degrees in electronic engineering from the University of Tokyo. After joining NEC Corporation, he has engaged in R&D on optical communication systems. He subsequently headed Research Planning Division, Intellectual Asset Management Unit, Central Research Laboratories. He is currently an Executive Vice President and CTO, Member of the Board of NEC Corporation.
【Message】 Decline in the labor force population is predicted In Japan. Technology advances in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics will improve the efficiency of the society and overcome the population declining issue to some extent. We must focus on the work that improves the quality of humane life. I would like to discuss, how we could leverage technology advances in creating a new service oriented society in the highly sophisticated Japanese society.
