Business and Leadership Program: M2 2018-2019

iwai st 2018The Reason Why I Chose GSM

I actually did a bachelor in chemical engineering at Kyoto University, however, I found myself having an interest in organizational behavior through the experiences as a member of a university lacrosse club team. I had learned (experienced) difficulties and attractiveness or interestingness through the club activities. So I wanted to learn theoretically how to manage organizations at graduate school.

What is GSM?

What attracts me at GSM the most is;
1.Small size classrooms with students from different backgrounds.
It is really interesting to listen to different opinions which I never come up with myself. Also, everyone can speak up since most of the groups are small.
2.Excellent environment for students who seek for their success (goals, achievement,etc.)
 GSM does not have many requirements credits. But on the other hand, it gives you a quite a few opportunities such as a long-term internships, overseas researches, and study abroad, etc. It may reflect Kyoto University culture, freedom ! I was able to do those things because GSM always tries to give us the appropriate chances as long as we pursue them.

The prospect of your future

I am going to work at one of the multinational strategic consulting companies after graduating from GSM. I am really looking forward to being able to apply the knowledge and experiences from GSM to the practical business situation. Especially, I want to use experience for Japanese industries to revitalize. My background as a chemistry student can be also applied in this field.

The subject which you recommends

Global Social EntrepreneurshipKuno-sensei and Murai-sensei
Most of the students are not Japanese (Mostly from Europe or Middle East Asia). We all could discuss social business and appeal our ideas in front of the professional capitalists. Also, many prestigious lecturers from all over the world come and show us outstanding presentations. It is a valuable opportunity to consider the world social problems as well as business.
