This conference was organized for academic researchers and practitioners who are interested in the management of multi-national joint venture for construction works to discuss on the academic knowledge related to management methodologies and institutions related to multi-national joint venture projects. At the beginning of the conference, Prof Kiyoshi Kobayashi at GSM delivered a keynote speech titled ‘Shari’ah compliance of construction contract in Islamic society’. After the keynote speech, speakers from Asian countries including Korea and Uzbekistan presented their researches on various aspects related to the joint venture management particularly focusing contracting issues. The academic contributions devoted to the conference will be published in 2015 together with those of 7th conference at Bandung, Indonesia and 8th conference in Daejeong, Korea.
