【Brief Overview】
While start-up and growth rates for female entrepreneurs have long lagged behind those of their male counterparts, recent studies have shown that entrepreneurship is a common profession for both genders, and that a combination of masculine (proactive) and feminine (collaborative) characteristics creates a high growth orientation among entrepreneurs of both genders. In addition, entrepreneurs pursue not only profit but also social, environmental, and lifestyle goals, suggesting that gender differences in growth orientation have now been eliminated. This seminar focuses on the distinction between gender and social gender and explores how individual and firm conditions affect growth orientation.
