On June 16, 2025, the kickoff meeting of the GSM Student Council was held. The GSM Student Council is an organization of current students, which has been established to strengthen the governance of the graduate school. The Council holds regular meetings to discuss the management and operation of the GSM.

At the first meeting in the 2025 academic year, the session began with Dean Sawabe explaining the purpose and role of the Council, followed by introductions of the new Council members, who serve as student representatives. The previous year’s members then provided an overview of the annual schedule and responsibilities of the Council, and handed over their duties to the new team. Dean Sawabe encouraged the members by saying, ” As representatives selected by each program, I hope you will engage in constructive dialogue with the Graduate School to ensure that student opinions are reflected.”
During the meeting, the old and new members actively exchanged questions and opinions on the management of the graduate school and deepened their interaction with each other.
