【Brief Overview】
Corporate Governance: An International Review (CGIR) is pleased to announce a Paper Development Workshop (PDW) in collaboration with Kyoto University. The workshop is open to early-career and established scholars, especially those who have not previously published in CGIR. It will take place at the Graduate School of Management, Kyoto University in Kyoto on Monday July 6th, 2026.
Theme and Objective:This PDW focuses on advancing scholarships in stakeholder theory, responsible business, and governance. The 2026 theme is:“Stakeholder Theory, Responsible Business, and the Future of Governance.”
The purpose of the workshop is to create an opportunity for scholars to receive developmental feedback on their papers and to provide a venue for networking among governance researchers.

Stakeholder PDW Call for Papers CGIR
【Program】
The PDW will be divided into two parts. In the morning session, we will have the keynote address by Professor Ed Freeman followed by a presentation from the CGIR Editors-in-Chief discussing the journal’s mission and scope, key statistics, and an overview of editorial review process. During the afternoon there will be break-out sessions where participants can discuss their research with CGIR Editors and one another in small group settings. The focus will be on providing constructive feedback on how to improve working papers. Please note that we also plan to organize an informal dinner in the evening.
