2014.7.29 Toward a Comprehensive Land-use, Transportation and Environmental Planning of Hanoi -A CUE perspective- was held.

1st seminar titled “Toward a Comprehensive Land-use, Transportation and Environmental Planning of Hanoi -A CUE perspective-” was held on 29th July 2014.

This seminar was host in Hanoi, Vietnam as a kick off seminar of the NKU-CUE program, in which Kyoto University, University of Transport and Communication, and Nikken Sekkei Research Institute cooperate to implement CUE model as a powerful tool to evaluate urban master plan including transportation infrastructure development. More than 30 administrators from Ministry of construction, Vietnam, and Hanoi City Authority, who are in charge of the urban planning participated in this seminar.
At first, Deputy director of steering committee for planning and construction investment in Hanoi capital region, Dr. Nguyen Truc Anh, gave a lecture about Hanoi capital master plan 2030-2050. Then Director of Center for Research in Business Administration, Professor Kiyoshi Kobayashi made a speech on “Comprehensive land-use, transportation, and environmental planning”, followed by 2 lectures by Assoc. Prof. Matsushima and Prof. Ishihara about the structure of CUE modeling and perspective and road map of NKU-CUE program. We discussed enthusiastically on land use and population change issues, and methodologies of integrated modeling for land use/transport policy analysis.
