| Professor Asli M. Colpan will receive the “Management Honorary Award” in the forthcoming Management Summit of Turkey, which takes place in Istanbul on November 27, 2014. Prof. Colpan has been chosen for the award as one of the few academics, rather than corporate executives, for her scholarly work on the “holding companies” or the business groups in emerging economies. Her major work has been published by Oxford University Press, among others. The award is given annually to selected leading Turkish business people, statesmen and academics including several of the founders of Turkish large holding companies. Prof Colpan will give an award-accepting talk on her research and its findings, which will take place in the presence of the press as well as several leading business people and academics. |
