July 2020 Professor Tomoki Sekiguchi received Palgrave Macmillan-AJBS Best Paper Award, and Senior Lecturer Ting Liu was also selected as a finalist

Professor Tomoki Sekiguchi received 2020 Palgrave Macmillan-AJBS Best Paper Award from the Association of Japanese Business Studies (AJBS) with the paper, “Corporate philosophy as a linking mechanism: Antecedents and behavioral outcomes of internalization of corporate philosophy at Japanese MNCs in Thailand”, co-authored by Tamiko Kasahara (University of Shizuoka). The paper authored by Senior Lecturer Ting Liu and Professor Sekiguchi, ”Locally recruited parent country nationals (PCNLs): An empirical study of bridge individuals in Japanese companies”, was also selected as a finalist for the best paper award.


The 2020 Annual Conference of AJBS was planned to be held in Miami, Florida, USA in July 2020. Due to the COIVD-19 pandemic, it has been postponed to 2021.
