On May 14, 2025, a delegation led by Ms. Valérie Pécresse, President of the Regional Council of Ile-de-France, and Ms. Sandrine Mouchet, Consul General of France in Kyoto, visited our Graduate School to promote academic and personal exchange with France.
The visit was held in the guest room of the Clock Tower Centennial Hall, and Dean Norio Sawabe, Professor Asli Colpan (both from the Graduate School of Management), Associate Professor Marc-Henri Deroche (Shishu-Kan), and Program-Specific Senior Lecturer Émilie Chung (Graduate School of Economics) joined the group to introduce the research and educational initiatives of the university. In addition to graduate students, exchange students from EMLYON Business School in France also participated in the lively exchange of opinions.

Ms. Valérie Pécresse has been active in French politics for many years and is particularly interested in education, research, and innovation policy. This visit was a valuable opportunity to further promote academic and personal exchange between TUAT and France.
