The Reason Why You Chose GSM

Sadahiro KITAGAWA

As technology evolves and societal and economic structures change, to plan a new business that can grow into the future, I thought I should have relied not only on what I have experienced but also relearned about management from the base of all knowledge. I was also attracted to the connections with people that can only be obtained in a university, not in the real business world.

What is the attractiveness of GSM?

First of all, we can study with professors and students with various backbones. Through some group works, we can gain insights which we couldn't come up with. Secondly, we can take some interesting lectures from other departments as well. For example, primatology is a unique lecture at Kyoto University, and cosmology gave me new business ideas that could not have gotten from business administration. In the case of starting a business, Kyoto University is the best due to the connection and various networking with many corporations.

The Visions of Your Future

Although my goal was to study business administration and to start a new business that was going to be an extension of my own business, now I want to challenge to start a brand-new space business because of earning knowledge and connections at GSM. I'd like to establish a new company and start a business before graduating.

Message for Applicants

I heard that workers had no problems studying at the University and working at a company at the same time. However, I have found it was much harder than I thought, especially in the first year. Although that, there is something much more important than the difficulties. I'd like to recommend this course for those who have enough business experience, even if they are busy.
