The Reason Why You Chose GSM

Konomi YOSHIZUMI

I majored architecture at university and joined a housing equipment manufacturer as an engineer. After experiencing product development and planning within the product division, I was in charge of promotion and branding, but I was worried that I couldn’t make appropriate decisions due to lack of basic and systematic knowledge about business management and marketing. When I reconsidered my career and changes in society from now on, I thought it would be a good idea to study at GSM, so I decided to take the exam. Currently, I take leave of absence from work for academic purposes so that I can concentrate on learning at GSM.

What is the attractiveness of GSM?

I think that the attractiveness of GSM is that it has members with diverse backgrounds. In particular, when group work is conducted in the lecture, members often have completely different gender, age, nationality, experience, and each discussion brings new awareness and inspiration.
I also find it attractive that there are many courses offered and that I can take lectures from other faculties. In the first semester of the year, I mainly took the required basic subjects, but in next semester I would like to customize according to my own interests, knowledge to acquire, career to aim for.

The Visions of Your Future

I hope to contribute to the realization of healthy and comfortable living for people throughout the future. In the housing and construction industry, it is expected that not only product strength but also value provision through services will become more important than ever. Therefore, I would like to study the management theory at GSM while exploring the possibility of services. After graduation, I would like to contribute to the activation and growth of the industry, and ultimately to improve the quality of housing for people.

Message for Applicants

All the lectures were online due to the influence of COVID-19, so it was a start far from the student life I imagined before admission. However, fortunately the educational environment is almost the same as face-to-face lessons, so I was able to study firmly at home.
In addition, I feel that it is meaningful to learn deeply because it is the timing of major changes in society. I would like to recommend enrolling in GSM for those who want to learn at this time.
