Professor Tomoki Sekiguchi’s international co-authored article on diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI), “Different feathers embedding together: Integrating diversity and organizational embeddedness” (co-authored by Debjani Ghosh, a former foreign co-researcher at Kyoto University Graduate School of Management, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and Jorge Gonzalez, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley), has been published in the Journal of Management Studies, one of the top-tier management journals. This conceptual paper focuses on organizational embeddedness and inclusive leadership as elements to promote the retention of employees from all social groups in demographically diverse organizations. The paper develops a model that is instrumental in achieving DEI in organizations.
