【概要 / Brief Overview】
　海運経済学および港湾経済学並びに物流の研究者が集まる世界最大の学会である国際海運経済学会（IAME: International Associatin of Maritime Economists）は、会員約300名を擁しており、年次大会が毎年世界各地で開かれている。これまでアジアでは、ソウル、香港、釜山、大連、台北、クアラルンプールで開催されているが、日本ではまだ開催実績がない。経営管理大学院・港湾物流高度化寄附講座では2017年6月にこの学会を京都に招致し、日本で初めての主催者（Local Organizer）となるものである。また、この機会に、当講座設立後3年間にわたる研究成果の一端をこの大会で発表する。

The International Association of Maritime Economists (IAME) was established in 1992 and has become the most prominent academic society of scholars with an interest in maritime economics, which includes ports, shipping and hinterland transport. IAME members come from a variety of research backgrounds, primarily economics and management, but also from logistics, finance, engineering, sociology etc. The conference will take place in Kyoto, Japan for the first time.
