Overview
Accounting profession in the changing and uncertain business world will need not only technical expertise but also professional leadership in accounting and finance. This course provides the skills and perspectives necessary to fulfill a leadership role in a company or accounting firm.
At a company, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) not only leads the accounting and finance department, but also works with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to create new business ventures and increase competitiveness. At an accounting firm, it is also essential that accounting professionals promote growth strategies as a director or partner and are responsible for training young accountants. Accounting professionals who build long-term relationships with companies are expected to play a role in supporting the strategic decision-making of family-controlled companies in particular. The aim of this course is to provide a systematic education about the professional leadership expected of managers and accountants.
The course focuses on themes directly related to practice, such as governance, asset management, and legal and tax affairs, and develops the knowledge and skills to support strategic decision-making.
In addition, there is an emphasis on improving leaders' organizational management and communication skills, and students will deepen their learning through practical case studies and discussions.
