Women’s Executive Leadership Program

Overview

In recent years, gender diversity on boards of directors has become a trend in many developed countries and some emerging countries, and various laws and regulations are being established. As ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investments increase, Japanese companies will be increasingly required to improve gender diversity as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). However, the percentage of women on the boards of directors of listed companies in Japan still remains at approximately 7.5% as of 2021.
What initiatives are needed to improve this situation and increase gender diversity in the top management of Japanese companies? What kind of human resource investment and development is required to foster female executive leaders? In order to respond to these social issues and demands, in our EMBA program we will work together with participating companies that are committed to improving gender diversity.
